Position: Food and Beverage Server

Job Summary
: Provides food and beverage services to Club members and guests.

Job Responsibilities:

– Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.

– Provides information to help food and beverage selections.

– Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.

– Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.

– Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.

– Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

– Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.

– Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.

– Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

– Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.

– Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.

– Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.

– Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.


Schedule and Availability: The Club is open Tuesday through Sunday. Varied schedules. Full and part time schedules, weekend work, and shift work.

Job Availability and Schedule:
Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Job Overview:
Prepares food in accordance with club recipes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develops menus and daily specials.
• Sets up service units with needed items
• Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
• Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
• Maintains highest level of sanitary standards and adheres to local and state health and safety regulations.
• Covers, dates and stores all leftover products that are re-usable


Qualifications:
• Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills
• Frequently lifts/carries 25 pounds
• Professional kitchen experience
• Willing to work weekends and holidays

Position: Bartender

Job Summary: Prepares and service alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to Club members and guests.

Job Responsibilities:

– Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

– Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks

– Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

– Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

– Plan and present bar menu

– Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

– Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

– Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

– Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Position: Lawn and Racquet Sports Assistant Professional

Department: Lawn and Racquet Sports 

Overview: The position supports all Lawn and Racquet operations, including teaching tennis and pickleball. Additional team responsibilities include court preparation, member services, maintaining clay courts, assisting in the Tennis Shop, and helping ensure the facilities remain clean and in good condition. 

Key Responsibilities:
– Teaching Tennis and Pickleball.
– Assists with preparing facilities for members every morning and afternoon including watering, rolling, dragging surface and sweeping lines of clay courts.
– Records court reservations and lesson appointments.
– Answers phones in the Tennis Shop when needed.
– Supervises adult mixers and events.
– Help keep tennis facilities clean and in proper order.
– Monitors condition of courts, nets, fences for good condition.
– Teaching lessons as directed by Director.
– Assists Director of Lawn and Racquet, and completes other appropriate tasks assigned.  

Licenses & Requirements: Certification with USPTA or PTR required.  

Physical Demands:
– Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
– Requires bending, stretching, standing, walking, climbing, and repetitive motions.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods.  

Education & Experience:
– College degree preferred but not required.
– Undergraduate major in Physical Education or Sports Management.
– Collegiate team experience is desirable, preferably with a 3.5 or above rating.
– Two-to-three-year competitive playing experience and/or tennis supervisory experience.

Position: Seasonal Poolside Food and Beverage Assistant

OverviewWe are looking for energetic, reliable, team members to join our poolside service team for the summer season! This role combines poolside service with deli support, offering a dynamic work environment both outdoors and inside. Team members will provide food and beverage service directly to guests in the pool area, helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and relaxed environment while also assisting with deli operations as needed.   If you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and creating a great guest experience, this is a fun and fast-paced opportunity to be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
– Take food and beverage orders from guests in the pool area
– Deliver orders accurately and in a timely manner
– Provide friendly, attentive service to enhance the guest experience
– Assist with light pool attendant duties (tidying chairs, monitoring cleanliness)

Deli Support:
-Take and prepare food orders in a timely and accurate manner
– Assist with food prep, including assembling menu items and basic kitchen tasks
– Operate POS system and handle transactions as needed
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of deli, kitchen, and service areas
– Restock supplies, ingredients, and beverages throughout shifts
– Assist with opening and closing duties

Physical & General Duties:
– Lift and carry items such as food trays, beverage cases, and supplies up to 50lbs
– Stay active throughout shifts, including walking between pool and deli areas
– Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
– Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace guidelines

Position: Head Golf Professional

Position Overview: Dataw Island Club offers a unique blend of natural beauty and exceptional amenities. Our club prides itself on offering a premier golfing experience with state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant community atmosphere.The Head Golf Professional plays a central role in shaping the golf experience for members and guests. This position leads all day-to-day golf operations, delivers exceptional service, and supports the club’s commitment to a high-quality, welcoming golf environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, an excellent communicator, and a passionate ambassador for the game.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee all golf operations, including the golf shop, driving range, and daily play.
– Lead, train, schedule, and mentor the professional golf staff to ensure consistent service standards.
– Enforce club rules, policies, and etiquette to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
– Manage and administer the club’s handicap system with accuracy and integrity.
– Provide professional golf instruction and player development programs for all skill levels.
– Supervise the rental, and maintenance of the golf car fleet.
– Maintain merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and retail performance in the golf shop.
– Prepare and present departmental reports, updates, and recommendations to the Golf Committee.
– Collaborate with other club departments to support tournaments, events, and member engagement.
– Uphold the club’s brand, service culture, and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:
– PGA Class A Membership required (or actively pursuing with near-term completion).
– Proven experience in golf operations leadership, preferably at a private club.
– Strong knowledge of golf instruction, tournament operations, and retail management.
– Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
– Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. 
– Experience with our tee reserve system, Foretees and POS system, Northstar is a plus.

Salary:

Position: Assist Golf Professional

Overview: Assist Golf Professional with numerous activities relating to the management and operation of the club’s golf program.

Job Knowledge and Competencies:
– Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.
– Fully knowledgeable of all opening and closing out procedures of the Golf Pro Shop.
– Familiar with all aspects of tournament set-up, including scorecards, golf car tags, proximities, staging area set-up and billing charges.
– Keep Golf Pro Shop counter and club repair area neat, clean and organized at all times.
– Maintain complete knowledge of the handicapping system and all pertinent handicap information.
– Stays up-dated and current on all upcoming club events.
– Maintain playing ability and work to stay competent in all areas of the game.
– Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe working environment, with emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
– Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Job Tasks/Duties:
– Assists Golf Professional in instructing and with merchandising, on-course, golf cart and personnel management responsibilities.
– Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations.
– Conducts golf clinics.
– Maintains handicap records.
– Operates Pro Shop in absence of Golf Pro Shop Manager.
– Oversees Pro Shop inventory and periodically conducts physical counts of merchandise, including scorecards, tees, matches, pencils, ball marks, golf car tags and tee sheets.
– Maintains and inventories all stock items necessary for in-house club repair work. Document and keep accurate records of all in-house and outside club repair work.
– Update all charges and credits for club repair work.
– Assumes Golf Professional’s duties in his or her absence.
– Assists in the coordination of tournaments and special events.
– Ensures all tournament winners are properly entered into the credit book with correct dates and description of event.
– Makes copies of tournament results and enters into the correct files.
– Assists in all daily scheduling of lessons for all teaching assistants.
– Performs starter or marshal duties as needed.
– Managers USGA handicap system for members.
– Ensures course is properly marked.
– Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Professional.

Licenses and Special Requirements:
– Must be a member of the PGA or PGA Apprentice working to attain PGA Professional status.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
– Sufficient stamina to tolerate hot, cold, humid and rainy outdoor weather for several consecutive hours.
– Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
– Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
– Frequent repetitive motions.
– Continuous standing and walking.

Reports to: Director of Golf

Position: Full-time Landscape and Maintenance Technician For the Lawn and Racquet Sports Complex

Overview: Primary job function is the care and maintenance of all courts and areas adjacent to courts.

Responsibilities include:
– Sweep, roll and line clay courts. Maintain net height on courts, keep court tapes, fences and gates in good condition.
– Blow debris from surface of courts. Perform assessment of courts to ensure proper condition. Repair any low and high spots; wet or dry spots; timer boxes; and sprinkler heads.
– Maintain and replenish ice coolers.
– Weekly maintenance of coolers, shed, gazebo and storage areas.
– Other duties include routine maintenance on grass at court and sidewalk edges, weeding plant beds, pressure washing.
– Any additional tasks needed to keep courts and surrounding areas in good order.

Qualifications:
– Knowledge of safe, efficient operation of blowers, trimmers, pressure washers and small landscaping tools.
– Mechanical aptitude helpful.
– Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
 -Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
