Dataw Hosts 2026 Beaufort High School Football Banquet
This past March, Dataw Island proudly hosted the annual Beaufort High School Football Banquet in the Carolina Ballroom. The evening brought together players, coaches, families, and supporters for a memorable celebration of the season’s accomplishments, highlighting both individual achievements and team spirit.
Throughout the night, players were recognized with a variety of awards and honors, reflecting their hard work, leadership, and dedication on and off the field. The banquet served as a meaningful conclusion to the season, offering a chance to reflect on milestones, growth, and the strong sense of camaraderie built throughout the year.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Jonathan Peck Award, presented by Marilyn Peck. In her remarks, she shared:
“I was honored to present this year’s Jonathan Peck Award to Xavier Smalls. Xavier will be attending college at Clemson University next and is graduating with a 4.64 GPA. He is a respected leader of his teammates and coaches. Congratulations Xavier!”
The banquet is made possible each year through the generous support of Dataw Island members, who contribute a $38 sponsorship to help honor and celebrate a selected player. This meaningful tradition continues to strengthen the connection between the island community and local student-athletes, making the evening both impactful and deeply appreciated by all in attendance.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success, including the players, families, coaches, and all who contributed their time and support!
