Last week, members came together to celebrate community, connection, and the spirit of Dataw Island during our 2026 Dataw Days festivities. From start to finish, the week was filled with great food, live entertainment, and memorable evenings shared with friends and neighbors.

We kicked off the celebration with Member Appreciation Night at Jenkins Patio, where members enjoyed live music by Robert Ingman, refreshments, and time spent reconnecting with one another. It was the perfect way to begin a week dedicated to the people who make Dataw so special.

Midweek, members gathered outside The Cannery for our Community Lowcountry Supper, featuring a special storytelling performance by Anita Prather, also known as Aunt Pearlie Sue. The evening celebrated the rich culture and traditions of the Lowcountry while bringing everyone together around great food and fellowship. On Friday evening, the Sip & Stroll Art Walk highlighted the creativity within our community as members enjoyed an evening of artwork, conversation, and connection along the Tabby walkways.

We wrapped up Dataw Days in style with our Grand Finale: Deas Guyz & Bow Ties. Members enjoyed live music, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and a lively prom night–inspired atmosphere that made for a truly unforgettable ending to the week.
