2026 Community For A Cure

Community For A Cure

Community for a Cure 2026 at Dataw brought members together for a week of events in support of The Beaufort Foundation Benefiting the Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center, helping support our local cancer center and the needs of our local community. This long-standing tradition, which began more than 20 years ago aa single golf tournament, has grown into a multi-event effort that reflects the strength and generosity of the Dataw community.

The week kicked off with Bingo for a Cure in the Carolina Ballroom, where members gathered for aafternoon of fun and friendly competition. The $50 entry included a donation to the cause, setting the tone for a week centered around both community and giving. Following bingo, the Silent Auction opened at the Carolina Ballroom entrance, where the Wall of Honor was also on display. The auction featured a wide range of donated items including artwork, gift cards, curated gift baskets, and unique experiences, all generously contributed by members and supporters.

The Golf Tournament & BBQ continued the momentum, bringing participants together on the course in support of the cause, while honoring loved ones through a ceremonial hole during the tournament. Throughout the week, members also showed their support by purchasing purple bows to display on mailboxes, light posts, and golf carts across the island, creating a visible reminder of the impact of the initiative.

The events wrapped up with the Bake Sale for a Cure, held by the pool, where members stopped by throughout the morning to support the cause and enjoy a wide variety of homemade treats generously prepared by fellow residents.

Thanks to the incredible support and participation from our community, these events raised significant funds for The Beaufort Foundation Benefiting the Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center. This continued generosity is what makes efforts like Community for a Cure so impactful year after year.
