Dataw Island Celebrates First
Member-Member Tournament

Although in these times of social distancing the traditional Member-Guest Tournament was not in the stars this year, the members at Dataw Island shined brightly at the first Member-Member.

This past weekend, a very special Member-Member tournament was played in honor of soon-to-retire Dave Britton, who has served for many years as the Club's Director of Golf. Bill Jacobson said that the Dataw Island Golf Association (DIGA) board echoed the sentiment of many participants in raving about how very pleased they were with the event, and that they will consider adding event in some form to next year's golf calendar, whether Covid-restrictions are necessary or not. Congratulations to the overall winners of the 2020 Member–Member, Jerry Lindquist and Joe Wetzel, with making a par in the first round and a birdie in the second round of the shootout. Congrats as well to all the players for a fun & safe socially-distanced event!
