BEAUFORT, SC --- Day two of the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golf Championship has drawn to a close on Dataw Island's Tom Fazio course, Cotton Dike.
The College of Charleston represents three of the top four spots in individual scoring and holds the team lead with an impressive 19 under par. Zach Reuland posted a -4 both days to sit at 8 under par in the lead, with teammate Christian Baliker tied with Drexel's Angelo Giantsopoulos, both at -5. Rounding out the leaderboard at -4, tied for fourth, are William & Mary's Preston Ball and Charleston's Logan Sowell, who shot a 4 under to move into fourth place today.
Drexel held their second-place team spot today shooting +5, putting them at 2 under par, and William & Mary's five-man team shot a -3 today, closing the gap to just 7 strokes, finishing the day at +4. Team competition is tight, with James Madison sitting only two strokes back.
The nearly 7000-yard course is one of the Lowcountry’s most pristine courses and will play host for both the 2021 and 2022 Championships.
“We are excited to partner with the Beaufort Area Sports Council to host the CAA Championship for men’s golf,” said Chris Fearn, Dataw Island’s Director of Golf. “The courses are in great condition and we have an incredible field of talent.”
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) consists of the College of Charleston, Delaware, Drexel University, Elon, Hofstra, James Madison, Townson, William & Mary, and UNCW (who was unable to attend this tournament). The winner of this conference championship will advance to the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship.

The final rounds begin at 8:00 am tomorrow, with tee times going off both #1 and #10. Members and spectators are welcome to come enjoy the competition.
