    • Position: Food and Beverage Server

      Job Summary
      : Provides food and beverage services to Club members and guests.

      Job Responsibilities:

      - Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.

      - Provides information to help food and beverage selections.

      - Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.

      - Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.

      - Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.

      - Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

      - Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.

      - Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.

      - Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

      - Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.

      - Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.

      - Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.

      - Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.


      Schedule and Availability: The Club is open Tuesday through Sunday. Varied schedules. Full and part time schedules, weekend work, and shift work.

  • Part-Time Housekeeper
    • PART-TIME HOUSEKEPPER NEEDED
      The Dataw Island Club is in search of a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the pristine appearance of our Club. Ideal candidates should possess a sharp attention to detail for tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping. Prior cleaning experience is preferred.

      Job Description
      Position: Housekeeper  

      Job Summary: Maintain and clean Clubhouse and other common properties as assigned, making sure they are ready for use.  

      Job Tasks
      ·        Trash removal from all spaces except kitchen.
      ·         Dust all ledges, tabletops, desks, baseboards, windows and door trim.
      ·         Vacuum all carpets and floors as needed. Spot clean carpets and floors as needed.
      ·         Clean all windows and mirrors as needed.
      ·         Clean all bathrooms.
      ·         Assist in the cleaning of other areas as assigned.
      ·         Assist with the general maintenance as required.
      ·         Replace burned out lights as needed
      ·         Perform other duties as required.  

      Qualifications / Skills:
      ·         A good knowledge of housekeeping products and associated equipment.
      ·         Knowledgeable about maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a wide variety of surfaces.
      ·         Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
      ·         Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations. Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time, and may be required to move furniture.  

      Education and Experience Requirements:
      High School diploma or GED equivalent desirable. One to three years of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.

      Job Overview:
      Prepares food in accordance with club recipes and standards.

      Responsibilities:

      • Develops menus and daily specials.
      • Sets up service units with needed items
      • Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
      • Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
      • Maintains highest level of sanitary standards and adheres to local and state health and safety regulations.
      • Covers, dates and stores all leftover products that are re-usable


      Qualifications:
      • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills
      • Frequently lifts/carries 25 pounds

  • Full and Part-Time Security Officers
    • Job Summary
      Patrol and secure gatehouse as well as identify risks to residents, members, and guests.

      Responsibilities
      • Follows all Security and Safety Programs
      • Handles resident and member requests in a professional and satisfactory manner
      • Performs routine Security Guard duties
      • Monitors front gate
      • Sells and issues gate passes
      • Patrols property, answers alarms and investigates
      • Calls and coordinates with law enforcements and emergency services as needed
      • Issues citations and warnings for rule infractions and violations
      • Performs all other duties as necessary and/or assigned

    • Position: Bartender

      Job Summary: Prepares and service alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to Club members and guests.

      Job Responsibilities:

      - Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

      - Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks

      - Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations

      - Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

      - Plan and present bar menu

      - Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

      - Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

      - Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

      - Comply with all food and beverage regulations

      Availability and Schedule:

      ·         Must be available Monday – Friday as early as 6:00 am.

      ·         Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

      ·         Must be available to work overtime as needed.


      Job Overview:

      Primary job function is the care and maintenance of the golf course.  Under the direction and supervision of the superintendent and assistant superintendent the employee will operate all golf course equipment including small tools, mowers, riding units, loaders, utility carts and other maintenance vehicles


      Responsibilities include:

      ·         Mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough using riding mowers and walk mowers.

      ·         Operating tractors, blowers, turf vacuums, aerifiers, rollers, and other turf specific machinery.

      ·         Operating smaller hand held equipment such as weed eaters, back pack blowers, hover mowers, hand rakes, shovels, pruning shears, chainsaws, and course cup changing tools.

      ·         Ensuring all equipment is working properly and operationally safe.  Cleans equipment daily.


      Qualifications:

      ·         Knowledge of safe, efficient operation of motorized vehicles, mowers and tractors.

      ·         Mechanical aptitude.

      ·         Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

      ·         Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

       

  • Deli Assistant
    • Position: Deli Assistant

      Job Summary: Prepares and serves food and beverage items on Deli menu to our Club members and guests.

      Job Tasks:
      1. Prepares and serves food and beverage items in a timely manner
      2. Takes members/guests orders by phone or in person for take-out
      3. Cooks and prepares food items using standard formula as directions indicate
      4. Wraps menu item such as sandwiches, hot entrees, and desserts for serving or for takeout
      5. Preps food items
      6. Cleans food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment
      7. Stocks food and supplies as needed
      8. Balances daily receipts and cash

      Reports to: Deli Supervisor

      Schedule and Availability:
      The Deli is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Open all year.

    • Job Summary
      Primary responsible for washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, china, equipment, flatware, and glassware.

      Responsibilities
      •Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand
      •Polish all silverware, platters, and chafing dishes
      •Collect trash from kitchen areas, empties garbage barrels, washes, and re-lines with new bags
