  • Full-time Golf Course Equipment Operators
    • Full-Time Golf Course Equipment Operators

       

      Availability and Schedule:

      ·         Must be available Monday – Friday as early as 6:00 am.

      ·         Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

      ·         Must be available to work overtime as needed.

       

      Job Overview:

      Primary job function is the care and maintenance of the golf course.  Under the direction and supervision of the superintendent and assistant superintendent the employee will operate all golf course equipment including small tools, mowers, riding units, loaders, utility carts and other

      maintenance vehicles. 

       

      Responsibilities include:

      ·         Mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough using riding mowers and walk mowers.

      ·         Operating tractors, blowers, turf vacuums, aerifiers, rollers, and other turf specific machinery.

      ·         Operating smaller hand held equipment such as weed eaters, back pack blowers, hover mowers, hand rakes, shovels, pruning shears, chainsaws, and course cup changing tools.

      ·         Ensuring all equipment is working properly and operationally safe.  Cleans equipment daily.

       

      Qualifications:

      ·         Knowledge of safe, efficient operation of motorized vehicles, mowers and tractors.

      ·         Mechanical aptitude.

      ·         Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

      ·         Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

       

  • Marketing Communications Coordinator
    • We are seeking a candidate to assist in executing communication and marketing products and publications. Candidate should be a “people person” and have excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills; graphic design skills; knowledge of desktop publishing for in-house graphics and production; a penchant for technology; and experience posting on variety of social media channels. Photography skills helpful but not required.

      Availability and Schedule:
      Must be available Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
      Occasional overtime if needed

      Job Overview: 
      Primary job function is to assist the Director of Marketing/Communications in executing Dataw Island’s marketing and communication products and publications. 

      Responsibilities include:
      Designing, typesetting, editing and proofing the production of Dataw Island newsletters and publications.
      Acquiring monthly events, designing, typesetting, editing and proofing the production of the Community Calendar.
      Administering and updating website; providing user names and passwords for Club members and residents.
      Creating and sending email flyers, brochures for upcoming Club events.
      Attending Communications Committee Meetings, taking minutes and distributing minutes in a timely manner.
      Designing, typesetting, editing and proofing menus for the Pub and Grill.
      Posting, monitoring and maintaining social media.
      Database management of sales prospects.
      Producing monthly analytics reports for Communications and Marketing committees.
      This position may also include event photography, blogging, and/or videography.

      Qualifications:
      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      Graphic design skills.
      Knowledge of desktop publishing for in-house graphics and production.
      Penchant for technology.
      Experience posting on variety of social media channels.
      Photography and/or basic video skills helpful.

      Job Availability and Schedule:

      Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

       

      Job Overview:

      Primary purpose of this position is to directly interact with our membership to ensure they have a perfect club dining experience. Servers and Bartenders are responsible for Member and Guest satisfaction thru prompt, accurate and friendly interaction.  Servers and Bartenders are responsible for knowing Member’s names and becoming familiar with their specific needs.

       

      Responsibilities:

      ·         Knowledge of Menu and dining features.

      ·         Knowledge of Liquor, Wine, Beer and Beverage Products.

      ·         Accuracy in taking Food and Beverage orders and accurate input into the POS system.

      ·         Constant maintenance of tables including clearing of plates and refilling beverages.

      ·         Verifying receipts and presenting completed receipts to the Member for signature.

      ·         Assisting with special event set up, service and take down as needed.

      ·         Greeting all Members and Guests warmly with an appropriate greeting and smile.

       

      Qualifications:

      ·         Previous serving or bartender experience preferred.

      ·         Excellent oral communications skills.

      ·         Positive interpersonal skills.

      ·         Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly. 

      ·         Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills.

      ·         Frequently lifts/carries 25 pounds.

  • Dishwashers

      Job Availability and Schedule:

      Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

       

      Job Overview:

      Primary purpose of this position is to wash and store all cooking utensils, china, flatware and glassware.

       

      Responsibilities:

      ·         Wash all wares in dishwasher or by hand.

      ·         Collect trash from kitchen area; empties garbage barrels; wash and reline with new bags.

      ·         Examine garbage for silverware, dishes and glassware.

      ·         Wash and clean receiving area and trash areas.

      ·         Sweep and mop kitchen floors.

      ·         Store all dishes and wares in proper areas.

      ·         Clean dishwasher after each meal period.

       

      Qualifications:

      ·         Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills.

      ·         Frequently lifts/carries 25 pounds.

       

       

  • Part-time Golf Shop Outside-Services Attendant
    • Part-Time Golf Shop Outside-Services Attendant

      Availability and Schedule:

      ·         Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

      Job Overview:

      Provides cart, bag and range services to our members and guests.

      Responsibilities include:

      ·         Brings carts from cart shelter to cart staging area outside Golf Shop.

      ·         Place baskets of range balls at driving range.

      ·         Use ball picker on range to retrieve balls.

      ·         Wash all range balls.

      ·         Remove bags from Bag Storage Room and loads onto cart.

      ·         Remove bags from carts and returns bags to Bag Storage Room.

      ·         Returns carts to cart shelter: remove towels, pencils scorecards, tees, drink cans, etc., from carts and saves reusable items; wash cart; park carts in shelter and connect

      ·          charger cables.

      Qualifications:

      ·         Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

      ·         Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds.

      ·         Dependable.

      ·         Valid driver’s license.
