The South Carolina Open wrapped up just minutes ago with Matt Bova from Bluffton SC taking the title with -3. It was a tight race up until the very end today with Larry George, Steve Isley and Ray Franz coming in with close seconds of –2. Larry George played 6 birdies in round two to tie for second.

Bova said, “I’m shocked and thrilled how it turned out today. I played well on the back nine both days and I think that really helped me. The course at Dataw was immaculate and has been every time I’ve played here.”

Veteran Shawn Whitmore played the SC Open with his Caddy Chris Bowers. Both Both Shawn and Chris were members of the 2015 USA Simpson Cup Team.
