Start off the New Year Running on the Right Track!

The New Year is just around the corner and there is no better way to begin 2017 than jump-starting on your health and giving to a local organization - all while burning off those extra holiday calories.

For the fifth year, the Habitat for Humanity "New Year, New You" benefit will be hosting a free health fair and a timed 5k race right here on Dataw.

The event kicks off on Friday, January 13^th at the Dataw Community Center with the free Health Fair. Many local wellness businesses will be set up and ready to answer your questions. The next morning things really pick up speed as the Resolution 5k Run starts on a beautiful course winding through Dataw. Prizes will be presented to first place finishers in eight categories. Not racing for speed? No worries – all are welcome! Walkers and four legged furry friends can join in at any point throughout the course! As a matter of fact, every dog that participates has their name entered in to win a basket of goodies.

All proceeds for this event benefit Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity which is part of a global nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing durable, safe and decent housing to all. Come out and help build your community and your health – everyone will be a winner!
