2020 Luminary Night on Dataw Island
Luminary Night on Dataw Island is an annual tradition and always a sight to behold. This year, to accommodate social distancing, the 2020 Luminary Co-Chairs, Leslie Hubbard Jacobsen and Mindy Smyth, worked with the Luminary Committee Members, Garden Club, Yacht Club, the Dataw Historic Foundation, and new this year -- the "Block Stars" -- to create a magical evening that encompassed the entire island community. From the Butterfly Garden to the Ruins, the Golf Cart Parade to the many neighborhoods, Dataw Island members donned their holiday cheer and celebrated this great Dataw Island tradition: Luminary Night.

Dataw Island Club Champions
Three divisions completed competition in the Club Championship tournament on Saturday: Fazio, Nicklaus, and Legacy. All divisions proved tough competition, coming down to the back 9, with one division having an excit-ing three-way playoff for first place, taking 3 holes to crown the champion! Sunday, the four players vying for the Men's Championship Division played 18 holes to crown a 54 hole champion and the Club's Champion... and the winner is, Steve Dietz! Congratulations to Diann Trautwein and Sue Zankowski for qualifying for the Final Match of the Ladies Club Championship! Sue Zankowski - our current and past Ladies Club Champion - had an excellent showing but was edged out by Trautwien in an exciting and well-attended match. Congratulations to both!
