St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Dataw Island
Dataw Island members celebrated St. Patty's day the right way with games, traditional Irish music, hors d'oeuvres, and Irish-themed drinks organized and set up by two of our own externs - Morgan Ackerman and Leah Fuda. Members arrived in all shades of green and tested their knowledge with a quick round of St. Patrick's Day Trivia. Mr. Joe Roney came out on top with twelve out of fifteen correct answers! As the event went on, members were encouraged to guess how many Lucky Charm marshmallows were packed into a jar to win a prize. Mr. David Newcome came surprisingly close to the correct answer and was our lucky winner! It was an all around great day to catch up with friends and celebrate the luck of the Irish! Thank you to all who joined us.

The purpose is to provide population data for use in science, especially conservation biology, though many people participate for recreation.
